It would seem that the ladder for the pool can be represented only in one form and configuration. The difference lies only in the number of steps and the size of the structure itself. In fact, it is not. The choice of this device for fixed pools and inflatable elements should be carried out carefully, taking into account the smallest nuances. Not only comfort, but also safety depends on how well this device will be selected.
Ladder descent is an integral element to guarantee the safe operation of the pool itself. This is an important structural element, not devoid of decorative value. Installation of ladder descent of any type is possible only if the depth of the water bowl reaches at least one meter. If the water tank is smaller than the specified value, the installation of the ladder is not advisable.
Ladders for frame pools
The most reliable ladder for the frame pool is Roman. The design is suitable for water points that are located outdoors. These are massive elements made of reinforced concrete.
Ladder for an inflatable pool or for stationary species can also be independent. If necessary, the product can be dismantled, moved to another point or transform the structure, depending on the situation.
The two-sided Roman staircase and the pool itself are one. There are several ways to install fasteners. The most commonly used installation "glasses" of "stainless steel". "Glasses" are fixed in the center of the anchor, and the ladder elements themselves are fixed on them. The lower segment of the ladder falls to the bottom, resting on it.
Another option: the use of stops to the sides. The double-sided construction is durable. Some specialists prefer fixing only with supporting elements that are pre-inserted into the “body” of the bead.

For prefabricated pools, a double-sided construction of light-alloy profiles or raised plastic elements is most often used. Externally, such products often resemble a ladder. Stability is achieved due to the fact that one end of the ladder rests on the ground, and the other on the bottom of the water tank.
The designs are quite mobile. If necessary, they can be moved to another, more advantageous place or removed altogether for some time (for example, if the device is used for a summer inflatable pool or the “bowl” is used only for a relatively short period of time).
If the pool is self-level, it is preferable to double-sided ladder for a stainless steel pool. It should be as wide as possible, the railing will be mounted directly to the board.
It is not always possible to install a solid structure (as for covered pools). In this case, it is more appropriate to purchase separate handrails and steps.
Main requirements for stainless steel structures:
- Any metal construction (as well as a wooden ladder for the pool) is necessarily equipped with handrails;
- The distance between the steps should not exceed 25 centimeters;
- On the steps should be placed anti-slip coating, and the entire surface is treated with special compounds that prevent corrosion;
- Any design for both inflatable and stationary pools, must withstand a lot of weight.
Two-sided or one-sided design can be supplemented, both monolithic and separate handrails. Pipes should be wide enough, but not excessively massive. Selection of the design in many ways requires consideration and decorative qualities of the product. Ladder descent should organically fit into the design, complement the pool and the area next to it.
The ladder for the pool with your own hands can be installed in the event that all components are really of good quality. Plastic products are considered the most budget, but the most short-lived material. If stainless steel is quite resistant to mold and mildew, then even very good plastic is very vulnerable in this regard.
It is not possible to process plastic in such a way as to improve its performance many times over. Otherwise, such constructions would be very expensive, but would not serve as long as stainless steel.
Similarly, the situation with wood products. In some cases, wooden steps very effectively complement the design of the pool (especially outside), but they are not durable at all.
There are several types of descents into the pool, which are significantly different from the above-listed "classic" types. Perhaps the most interesting descent for swimming pools can be called balneological type construction. Installing the ladder in the pool of this type will be difficult.
This is due to the fact that the design is supplemented with built-in nozzles. Their task: to massage the lumbar and vertebral spine of a person. They can be used both with therapeutic and prophylactic purposes, strengthening the health of swimmers.
It is also worth mentioning the descents for children. They have more steps. They are much smaller than the "adult" site. In addition, the design is always complemented by low railings, and the interval between the steps is minimal.
Recently, manufacturers are trying to please potential buyers with interesting models for inflatable pools. Usually they are very mobile and light. Frameworks retain their strength characteristics, but differ in type from the same "stainless steel" or plastic counterparts.
